2 km from the historic centre of Évora and 200 metres from the monastery that inspired its name, you will find the Adega Cartuxa [Cartuxa Winery].

This secular building, surrounded by vineyards, was the Jesuit retreat home (Society of Jesus), who lectured at Universidade de Évora [University of Évora] in the 16th and 17th centuries.
